What is sustainability? In its current context, it refers to a range of environmental and social issues that involve the preservation of natural resources. This can apply to industries and practices as diverse as mining, fashion, agriculture, climate change, conservation, and recycling.
Fordham has embraced sustainability and social innovation in a number of ways including its Green Campus Initiatives, Social Innovation Collaboratory, and its designation as an AshokaU Changemaker Campus.
In addition, the Gabelli School of Business partners with various institutions such as the United Nations, Sustainability Accounting Standards Board, and the Norwegian School of Economics, to promote socially beneficial business. It also integrates sustainability in its MS in Management program and offers a secondary concentration in Global Sustainability to its MBA students.
